I’m the Seattle-based calligrapher and watercolor artist behind Spoken Strokes. I’ve always been drawn to making things slowly, noticing the little details, and finding ways to preserve words and moments.
Spoken Strokes has become a place for me to create with intention through calligraphy, watercolor and pieces that help meaningful words live beyond the moment they were spoken.
About Spoken Strokes
Spoken Strokes began quietly in 2017, when I started teaching myself calligraphy with Crayola markers. I learned that calligraphy is built from something incredibly simple: upstrokes and downstrokes. On their own, they’re just marks - but together, they for letters, words, and eventually something worth sharing.
Spoken Strokes is about giving meaningful words a tangible form - Scripture, vows, names, memories, and all the things we want to hold onto.
At the heart of it all is a phrase I try to carry into both my art and my life:
“In everything, with everything”. In everything I do, I want to do with everything God has given me: my hands, creativity, time, attention, and heart. Looking forward to connecting with you!
